This is a great tour for those who like coastal regions and the opportunity to enjoy a desert experience without the long travel to the Sahara. The trip incorporates Oualidia on the coast and Essaouira, overnight in the 'Desert of Marrakech' then returning to Marrakech.

Itinerary
DAY 1: Marrakech - The Coast of Oualidia
At 0900 hrs your chauffeur will take you to the coast and Oualidia (about 2.5 hrs). Oualidia is a very leisurely and relaxed place to be. The tidal lagoon is famous for the oyster beds that a Frenchman created many years ago. They are delicious and very inexpensive! A local boat ride is a pleasant way to see the lagoon and view the town from the ocean. If you are lucky you will see the many flamingos that gather here.
DAY 2: Oualidia - Essaouira
After a leisurely morning (we suggest lunch here) your chauffeur will take you on to Essaouira further south down the coast. About 3hrs. Essaouira is a medium-sized town with a wonderful atmosphere. A very relaxed place to enjoy and shop. Being a fishing port, Essaouira is heaven for those who enjoy fresh fish. Essaouira requires no guide as it is so easy to navigate. Spectacular beach, a historic fishing port and very good restaurants abound.
DAY 3: Port area
Totally at your leisure and to stroll round the town and the port area. Have lunch on the port where there are numerous fish stalls serving fresh fish - simply grilled, delicious and very inexpensive.
DAY 4: Essaouira - Desert of Marrakech
We suggest leaving Essaouira at around 13:00 hrs which gives you the morning to enjoy Essaouira and have lunch. Your chauffeur will take you back towards Marrakech and the 'Desert of Marrakech' . Lunch will be provided on arrival. You are free to enjoy the afternoon at your leisure, exploring the area by camel or foot, or enjoying the various activities on offer. Costs of the leisure activities are not included and are payable locally. We can quote for these. A delicious candlelit dinner makes an excellent end to the day and the night sky, with no light pollution, can be outstanding.
DAY 5: Desert of Marrakech - Marrakech
After breakfast you will be met by your chauffeur and make the return journey to Marrakech. You may wish to enjoy your final evening dining at one of the many excellent restaurants in Marrakech. The cost of dinner is not included.
