September to May
While you don't need to be an athlete, you should be reasonably fit and able to walk 5-6 hours daily on varied desert terrain. The trek involves walking in sand and some gentle climbs. We pace our walks thoughtfully, with regular breaks and plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.
Our camps offer a comfortable 'glamping' experience with spacious two-person tents, proper mattresses, and fresh linens. You'll enjoy hot showers (when available), a dining tent, and cushioned areas for stargazing. Our chef prepares fresh Moroccan cuisine daily in a proper camp kitchen.
Each camp has basic but clean bathroom facilities with toilet tents and basic washing facilities. During the day, your guide will ensure appropriate comfort breaks with privacy.
Yes! Our guides are highly experienced professionals who know the desert intimately. We maintain contact with our Marrakech office via satellite phone, and our support vehicle is always nearby. We carefully monitor weather conditions and follow well-established routes.
We provide all meals and plenty of mineral water. Our chef prepares fresh Moroccan and international dishes, including breakfast, packed lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Special diets can be accommodated with advance notice.
Yes! While this is primarily a walking trek, you can occasionally ride the camels when you need a break. They primarily carry our supplies and equipment.
