Biking Tours in Morocco

Explore the Atlas Mountains on two wheels

Discover Morocco from the Saddle

Trade your hiking boots for wheels and explore the High Atlas Mountains from a completely different perspective. Our guided biking tours follow ancient mule tracks, quiet village roads, and trails that wind through walnut groves, river valleys, and traditional Berber communities — landscapes you simply can't reach on foot in a single day. Whether you're looking for a gentle half-day ride through the countryside or a challenging full-day mountain route, we have a biking tour to match your fitness and experience. Quality bikes, a knowledgeable local guide, and a freshly prepared trailside picnic are all included.

Looking for something different? All our biking tours can be combined with a hike or tailored to your group — just ask.

Mountain Biking in the High Atlas: What to Know

Our rides use the same mule tracks, dirt roads and village paths as our treks, around Imlil and the Toubkal massif. A few things worth knowing before you book.

Fitness and experience

The 3-day Atlas tour from Marrakech suits riders who are comfortable on rough tracks with sustained climbs and descents. You do not need to be an expert, but a reasonable level of fitness makes it far more enjoyable. Gentler half-day rides through the lower valleys can be arranged for families and beginners.

Terrain and altitude

Expect a mix of gravel roads, narrow mule paths and short sections where it is easier to push. The riding is at altitude, so the air is thinner and the sun stronger than in Marrakech; we keep the pace steady and stop often.

When to ride

Spring and autumn are ideal. Summer rides start early to beat the heat, and in winter we stay on the lower valley routes where the tracks are clear of snow.

Bikes, guides and support

Mountain bikes and helmets are provided, and a local guide who knows every track rides with you. On multi-day tours, transfers from Marrakech, meals and overnight stays are normally included; the Price includes box on each tour page lists exactly what is covered. Prefer to mix riding and walking? Most itineraries can combine a ride with a hike.
